Today, Brandon Young officially announced his candidacy for State Representative in Michigan's 19th District. Running on a platform of community safety, economic growth, and protecting seniors, Brandon brings decades of business leadership and community service to the race.
"When our seniors are secure, our families are stronger—and when our communities are stronger, Michigan is stronger," said Young at his campaign launch event in Southfield.
As the Founder and CEO of Safety Ops Specialists and Khal Horizons Consulting Group, Brandon has spent his career creating jobs and strengthening organizations. His deep roots in community service—including roles on the boards of Neway Works and CCORE, and as Co-Director of the Silent Cry nonprofit—have given him a firsthand understanding of the challenges facing District 19 families.
Brandon's five-point platform includes:
- Community-based public safety solutions
- Economic growth and small business support
- Affordable healthcare access
- Protecting seniors and their homes
- Education and youth opportunity
"It's time for progress. It's time for a representative who shows up, listens, and fights for every family in this district," Young added.
